The Lord is powerful enough to save

The Lord kept on assuring the disobedient children of Israel of His sufficient power to save them despite their repeated turning away from Him. He in the process asked them the question, “Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver?” (Isaiah.50:2b) In answering the question, He proved to them His enormous power by reminding them how in His rebuke dries up the sea, makes the rivers a wilderness in Egypt. Same power clothes the heavens with blackness and made sackcloth their covering.” (Isaiah.50:2-3) There is no aorta of doubt that the Lord that did all that and finally set them free from bondage in Egypt, is powerful enough to save. God is asking you and me the same question today “Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver?” What will your answers be, what will my answer be? Let us consider the questions raised by Prophet Isaiah before we give our answers. Is it when we visit and consult mediums, fortune-teller in whatever forms, or when we seek the dead, on behalf of the living instead of seeking the Lord God who is the only absolute and trustworthy in whom we can find answer? (Isaiah.8:19-20) Or is it when we seek for the power of God in a man of God in whatever guise. When we seek for miracles instead of worship and praises to the living God. Is He not powerful enough to save? Prophet Isaiah in his response affirmed that, the Lord’s hand is not short to safe and gave reasons why it appears the Lord’s hand is shortened. He says, “Behold the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear” (Isaiah. 59:1-2) We do not realize that we doubt the power of God to save in those moments and times our mind is on something or someone else in situations or circumstances that require us to call on to God for help. God says, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (Jer.33:3) Let us cleanse and make ourselves clean by putting away every evil behavior, which is Sin. God has promised that even if our sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. God has made provision to cleanse us of all iniquities, provided we repent and ask for forgiveness. (1 John.1:9) Brethren, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear. Let us ask for forgiveness for our iniquities that have separated us from Him, and come boldly to His throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. The Lord is powerful enough to save us from whatever unpleasant situation that comes our way. Evangelism The coming, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the center of Christian faith. Rev.
